About

The family business was created in 1930 by Robert Bondier, grandfather of Michel Lecat the current owner.
The decoration of the apartments owes a lot to the optical-eyewear and photography business which occupied the ground floor of the building for almost a century.

Owner's word

Optics, eyewear and photography have been present in the building for a century. My grandfather took it over in 1930 and myself in 1977. When I created the Apartments of the Palace in 2016, I drew heavily on the attics for their decoration and to revive the great years of film photography. .

Today, my daughter works there as an audioprosthetist and my daughter-in-law owns three studios among the nine apartments I manage.

It's definitely a family affair!

What is my philosophy for managing these accommodations? The three Ps (or P,P & S in English):

Professionalism, proximity and sharing:

Professionalism because I sell pleasure to travelers who come to discover the riches of my region and my first concern is not to disappoint them. For this, I traveled by choosing accommodation of different categories and I learned lessons on what to do but also not to do. I also trained to start this new job with the right tools and the right ideas.

Proximity because the small size of this activity allows me to be close to my customers and responsive to their slightest requests.

Share because I take great pleasure in sharing my knowledge of this extraordinary region where I have always lived.

The Apartments of the Palace can be a beautiful quality accommodation for your stay in the region, but also an opportunity for exchanges and sharing if you wish.

Passion Perigord

It is no coincidence that our department has some of the finest prehistoric evidence in the world. Neanderthal and Homo Sapiens did not go to the wrong place.
Later, the Middle Ages left us countless castles and Romanesque churches and the Périgord is rightly renowned for its gastronomy.
Let me guide you through
s what my grandfather called a land of plenty that I also like to call a land of balance.

Passion Photo

My grandfather passed on his passion for photography to me. He also bequeathed to me tens of thousands of images of the Bergerac people of the 20th century. I made one website where you will discover the life of Bergerac in the last century.

Passion Horse

I practiced competitive driving at a high level for fifteen years and I still continue today but for fun, with the family and in a more relaxed way. I would be happy to show you some architectural marvels near Bergerac to the slow pace of my mare Morrane's steps (subject to availability).
